| A University of Chicago sponsored event with speaker Judith Nadler, Director and University Librarian, The University of Chicago and with the participation of Yuan Zhou, Curator, East Asian Collection, Regenstein Library At the heart of a great university is a great library. The desk top, the Internet, and the World Wide Web have changed the way libraries support the research, teaching, and learning needs of the university community. As a result, new roles and expectations have evolved for libraries in the digital age. In this presentation Judith Nadler, Director and University Librarian, will discuss the joint vision that emerged when a distinguished faculty, a top research library, and world renowned architect Helmut Jahn came together to create the iconic design of the Joe and Rika Mansueto Library at the University of Chicago. |
