| 3/14/05 - SORRY, THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT. Dr. Mel Levine is co-founder of All Kinds of Minds, a non-profit institute for the study of differences in learning. Dr. Levine is professor of pediatrics at UNC Medical School and director of its Clinical Center for the Study of Development and Learning. An internationally recognized leader in his field, Dr. Levine will present an optimistic and scientifically supported approach to dealing with individual learning differences among school-age children, from kindergarten through college. Dr. Levine is a graduate of Harvard Medical School, where he was associate professor of pediatrics before moving to North Carolina. | Do you like scavenger hunts? Do you like looking for clues and solving riddles? Are you interested in meeting other alumni from Duke, UNC, Stanford, Harvard, and Princeton? If so, please join us for a great event while enjoying a spring afternoon. Simply known as "The Game" in some areas, this half-day event will be a combination of solving riddles and finding objects throughout the Triangle. Show up by yourself or with some friends. Teams will be formed the day of the event. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and last place (for effort). Who: Alums from Stanford, all The Ivies and Duke Starting location: The fountain area by the movie theaters at Southpoint Mall in Durham - just off of I-40 at Fayetteville Street exit. Reconvene at 5 PM at Champp's at Southpoint Mall in a private room for mingling, food and prizes. General rules: One car for each team of up to 4 persons. They will have to demonstrate that they've solved the clue by finding out a piece of information or retrieving something from the actual site. The team with the most number of correct answer wins.
